in the morning the light will sear your eyelids like the floodlights in the hospital where you were born
in the morning it will be as if you have a new layer of skin, as white and fresh as the sheets on your bed
in the morning your spine will not ache, your neck will not cramp, and the inside of your mouth will taste like the crisp, cold air of autumn
in the morning there will be a glass of ice cold water waiting for you, flavoured with the dew that glistens on the grass stems
in the morning a breeze will caress your face and kiss your mouth as the leaves on the trees rustle hello
in the morning the air will enfold you in warm arms and carry you out into the day
in the morning the soft sprigs of new grass will be there to cushion your steps
in the morning your heart will be light and you will make every move as if you are dancing
in the morning you will see the sea and the sky and the house where you grew up
